Car Blast near Syria Gas Plant Kills 9 including Soldiers

Damascus: Car bombing near gas plant in Homs province of Syria killed nine including 4 troops while 15 were wounded, on Monday.

According to foreign news agency a car bomb exploded in Homs province of Syria, killed four soldiers and five others on Monday. Islamic State militant group has claimed the responsibility of the bombing stated that both of the bombers have been killed in the attack.

Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said in a statement that four members of security forces and five employees of Firqlos gas plant have been killed in car bomb blast while 15 of people are wounded in this attack.

Islamic State jihadist group had often targeted oil and gas plants to seize the refineries because ISIS generates funds for fighting against US-led airstrikes by smuggling oil to vendors.

Earlier, human right group has revealed that Islamic State has killed nearly two thousand in past six months; most of them were civilians who have been either shot, stoned or beheaded.
