Guwahati: In north eastern state of Assam y suspected tribal rebels have killed at least 48 people in a series of attacks Including children and women on Wednesday.

Indian media reported that separatist rebels have nearly killed 52 people in India’s north-eastern Assam state inclding 10 women and 13 childern, the attack has been made in Sonitpur and Kokrajhar districts on Tuesday.

Indian authorities accused the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) for the attacks who desires an independent state for them in Assam and runing movement against separate homeland.

According to officials killed people were most of tribes who worked in local gardens, State police has imposed indefinite curfew in the region, issued red alert and started operation against the suspected attackers in Assam.

Government security forces and rebels have been fighting since many years, in 2012 in these clases 100 of were died while thousands have been left homeless.
