The Interview Raked-In Over $15 Million via Online Release
Los Angeles: Controversial Hollywood comedy epic ‘The Interview’ has raked in more than $15 million in online rentals and purchases of its limited release.
Entertainment giant Sony stated that political comedy epic ‘The Interview’ has earned $15 million in its online rentals and purchases despite of it controversial views following Sony Pictures hack.
The Hollywood film ‘The Interview’ release has been suspended over security issues due to cyber attack on Sony servers in which sensitive information and media has been hacked including Seth Rogen directorial and script of James bond’s next epic.
The comedy film is about assassination North Korean leader Kim Jong-un which might be the reason of hacking; US accused North Korea for the Sony Hack while the officials have denied the allegations stating that it was a right movie because there is untrue depiction of facts in the movie.
Earlier, Sony has cancelled the release which has been criticized by US authorities, however, it limited theaters release in US and Canada on Christmas Eve has reportedly strong turnout.
