Lahore is bleeding again: Terrorists bombed Lahore near Punjab Assembly 10 killed including DIG Traffic Lahore Capt (retd) Ahmad Mobin and more than are 40 injured
At least 10 people were killed and more than 40 were injured in a bomb explosion outside Punjab assembly near Charing Cross Lahore. There was protest going on which was called by the drug association of Pakistan against new drug regulation imposed by Punjab Government. DIG Traffic Lahore Capt (retd) Ahmad Mobin was also killed in the attack and an SSP is seriously injured, according to the police. Mobin was busy in negotiations with the protester to end the strike and clear the roads when a car parked near the protest area exploded. Rescue Services are working on the exploded area and emergency is declared in all the hospitals of Lahore whereas the injured people are being shifted to Sir Ganga Ram hospital and Mayo hospital Lahore.
Few days before this incident a notification was issued to the Home Secretary Punjab, DG Rangers, Provisional Police officer and National Counterterrorism Authority (NACTA) on 7th February 2017 which clearly stated that there is a possible threat of terrorist attack in Lahore.
