ISIS Recruits Members From Pakistan And Afghanistan, US Commander

Kabul: US commander John Campbell in Afghanistan stated that Islamic State reportedly recruiting people from Afghanistan and Pakistan.

According to foreign news agency the US commander in Afghanistan revealed that they have reports about Islamic State making recruitments from Afghanistan and Pakistan to fight with US-led coalition security forces in Iraq and Syria.

In an interview with the US Army Times Gen John Campbell, commander of the Resolute Support mission in Afghanistan, said that there have been some night letter drops, there have been reports of people trying to recruit both in Afghanistan and Pakistan, quite frankly.

Islamic State has difficulties to enlisted people for fight in these region but they trying to put all of their effort, John said in this regard that IS group had a ‘hard message to sell’ in Afghanistan, but there were concerns that the group had the potential to spread its message in the country and in neighboring Pakistan.

It is fact that Taliban has a different philosophy and ideology instead of ISIS and US is along with Taliban but there are some who are against Taliban militants as they didn’t see and meet with their leader Mullah Umar and want to go somewhere else so it is likely that they join Islamic State.

Afghan General Murad Ali Murad also confirmed that presence of Islamic State militants in the country stating that masked men have raised black flags and trying to spread their message to northern parts in Zabul and Helmand provinces while Afghan Ministry of Interior rejected the statement that ISIS has recruiting members in the country.
