Chris Jericho Performs on WWE Raw Regardless of Intimating a Departure on Twitter
On Sunday night at Payback, Chris Jericho lost to Dean Ambrose. For the time being, it was not his WWE’s last match. However, a tweet was posted on Monday morning by the 6-time world champion showing an apparent goodbye to the company:
But, Jericho appeared on Monday evening episode of Raw and confronted Ambrose, finally hitting him with the Mitch plant. WWE tweeted:
To See More : Most Important Rituals to Keep You Always Happy
Taking long breaks from WWE schedule has been a routine for Jericho after Randy Orton kicked him in the head on 27th Sept., 2010 episode of Raw, which terminated his WWE programming.
From then, Y2J used to return for some months at a time, frequently disputing with younger Superstars and later leaving the company. For a substantial section of, he only fought a trickle of house shows instead of maintaining a steady existence on televised proceedings.
In January, in an interview, Jericho clarified that he favored to be a part-time performer. He said that he was going back in Jan and Feb to only appear in live events and house shows, no TV. He stated that his only choice had been to do live events. He had taken off for some time between Fozzy tours and then came back. He said that was like he was anti-Brock Lesnar.
He kidded regarding Lesnar’s schedule, which forces him to be off the road and entirely on pay-per-view and TV. Jericho said that he knew some of his fans wanted to see him wrestle till he explode in a cloud of dust, but that was never going to happen. He was of the view that everybody knew about his lesser interest in wrestling, and that his era of being a full-time wrestler was over. He expressed that as he felt he could contribute any further, and he could still do its best at the highest level he had benchmarked for himself, he would go back off and on.
Jericho’s current run has debatably been his finest since turning completely to part-time status. Prior to wrestle Ambrose, he disputed with A.J. Styles, thrashing the Phenomenal One at WrestleMania 32. The opposition saw Jericho entirely hold his heel side; a welcome progress as he has always outshined as a bad guy as compared to being a baby-faced. However Styles loss to Jericho resulted in 3 fine singles battles on WrestleMania, Fastlane and Raw, and the dispute helped uplift Styles into the progress of WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
The tweet by Jericho may have duped the WWE Universe for some hours, but with Monday’s part with Ambrose, it seems Jericho is yet a key player on the schedule at least until Extreme Rules later this month.
